The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
Work closely with the accounting team in creation of financial statements
Assist the billing team with finance related functions
Assist in monthly preparation of accounting schedules (Bank Reconciliations, AMEX Expenses, Sales tax, Postings)
Work with the Controller and Assistant Controller (working with the auditors, state/city work, etc.)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
0 - 2 years' experience in accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Compensation

$65,000 to $75,000

Nouveau does it all. Essential elevator maintenance and repairs, of course. We also specialize in full Installations, replacements, and state of the art modernizations. On top of that, we have an entire code and testing department dedicated to ensuring your building is compliant with all code requirements. We also launched a specialized escalator group that manufactures, installs, and maintains Nouveau packaged equipment with non-proprietary components. Overall, our job is to provide you with improved performance, reliability, code compliance, peace of mind, and, most importantly, safety.

On behalf of everyone at Nouveau we would like to congratulate our very own Beatrice Oshodi, who passed her NYC DOB Inspection today, making her the first female engineer/adjuster in Local 3 to achieve this.

We also would like to give a special thank you to Ron Vacco, our Director of Engineering. Ron has mentored, coached and guided Beatrice and much of our staff. His incredible leadership allows us to achieve these monumental goals.
